“The Goalposts Haven't Just Moved—The Game Has Changed.”
For a decade, the narrative across rural and remote Canada was clear: Connect the unconnected. We focused on the "finish line"—a specific speed, a specific map, a specific government target. But as foundational builds near completion, a new reality is setting in: In the digital age, there is no "done."
The Infinite Build is a call to action for the architects of Canada’s remote economy. We are moving from the era of "Basic Access" into the era of "Infinite Demand." With the explosion of AI, the surge in satellite constellations, and the integration of remote sensing, the infrastructure we thought was the destination is actually just the first step.
If we remain complacent, we risk building tomorrow’s bottlenecks today. This conference is where we stop chasing old targets and start defining the End Game.
CANADA'S RURAL & REMOTE BROADBAND COMMUNITY
CONFERENCE & EXPO
June 9 -11, 2026
The End of the Beginning: Why the "Completion of Broadband is a Myth" and setting the stage for the Infinite Build.
The Ecosystem Architect: How to lead your community effectively even as the goalposts keep moving. By understanding your own community assets and building a shared vision around them, you can move from reacting to change to leading a unified community vision.
Policy vs. Reality: Join the funders for a candid conversation about the priorities that should drive the next five years of funding regimes. This session aims to bridge the gap between high-level policy and the practical realities of building and sustaining community infrastructure.
The AI Opportunity: Why should communities care? Investing the time to understand how your community can maximize its local potential. This session explores how to navigate large-scale infrastructure proposals and security concerns while addressing the realities of NIMBYism and digital sovereignty.
The Sentient Community: Discover how to leverage multi-use infrastructure to enable real-time monitoring, risk mitigation, and Digital Twin applications for a more resilient and responsive community.
Presentations
Sovereignty in the Soil: Indigenous-led infrastructure as a model for regional autonomy.
Infinite Mobility: Hybridizing LEO Satellites with Terrestrial Networks for Maximum Coverage.
The Digital Workforce Pivot: Strategies to attract and keep tech talent in remote regions.
Critical Thinking: This session distills first-hand challenges and hard-won lessons from managing cyber resilience across a complex landscape of both urban and rural territories. These real-life experiences are translated into a practical roadmap for rural and remote communities, proving that size should never be an impediment to planning and protection.
