This workshop was focused on Northern communities; namely those in the Yukon, Nunavut and Northwest Territories.  The event provided an opportunity for municipalities, Indigenous communities, municipal networks, government, academics, and subject-matter experts to come together and share their knowledge, experiences, lessons learned and advice. 

Through active speaker discussions lead by specialized experts from across Canada, we explored the challenges associated with the initial development and financing of a community's broadband network. 

There were two facilitated break out sessions: "Financing Community Broadband" and "Getting Started with Community Broadband". Attendees selected a track and engaged with the Group Facilitator to review and discuss the particular toolkit developed by Future Cities Canada. Following the break out session, the panel came back together to discuss their respective groups' feedback and conclusions.
