Community Solutions Network Innovation Workshops

The Community Solutions Network is a program of Future Cities Canada, and is designed to help communities build service area capacity and improve the lives of residents using data and connected technology approaches. Canada's Rural and Remote Broadband Community (CRRBC) along with Evergreen and the Community Solutions Network are partnering to deliver innovation workshops designed to address the realities and challenges of broadband connectivity that Northern communities across Canada face.

The workshop provided an opportunity for municipalities, Indigenous communities, municipal networks, government, academics, and subject-matter experts to come together and share their knowledge, experiences, lessons learned and advice. 

Through active speaker discussions lead by specialized experts from across Canada, we explored the challenges associated with the initial development and financing of a community's broadband network.
